Mardon Hall was purpose-built in 1933 and many of the original features such as the wood panelled library and the grand staircase remain. It is located at the centre of the Steatham Campus with magnificent views over the Exe Estury and is only 1½ miles from the City Centre, approximately a 20 minute walk.

Mardon Hall is one of the older residences on campus and offers Standard Single & Twin bedrooms with shared bathroom facilities. These offer a cheaper alternative to the ensuite rooms in Holland Hall. All bedrooms have a desk area and wash basin as well as complimentary toiletries and tea and coffee making facilities. All bedlinen and towels are also provided.

The bedrooms within Mardon Hall are all accessible via stairs so are unsuitable for those with limited access/disability. Holland Hall (an adjacent building) would be more suitable for guests with limited mobility.

Guests staying in Mardon Hall are required to check-in at Holland Hall and also take breakfast within Holland Hall.

Food and Drinks

A cooked English & Continental breakfast is included in the room price. This is served at the adjacent Holland Hall and is served between 8am - 9am.

Please note there are no self-catering facilities within Mardon Hall.

Grounds and gardens

Streatham Campus, where Mardon Hall is based, has over 350 acres of landscaped grounds, parks, woodlands and lakes for guests to enjoy.

Customer feedback

We guarantee that all our feedback is genuine and can only be submitted by people who have booked through our websites.

, April 2011: I found the room very easy to book. The directions given were very clear as was the arrival information. I would consider an en suite room in the future due to lack of privacy in the shared bathrooms. The breakfast was amazing. All in all, the value for money was brilliant.

, September 2010: We will book en-suite if possible in future

, September 2010: The entire experience was superb. The staff at Exeter University who handled all aspects of my booking and my stay were highly supportive and very friendly. The booking procedure was straightforward and reliable. Excellent service all round.

, August 2010: Please could you find a way to keep cooked breakfasts hot. Apart from that I was very satisfied. Streets ahead of YHA Exeter except for that one thing which they were much better at.
